About Vicsteel
Our Story
Built from the ground up.
Vicsteel Structural was founded in 2014 by Tim McKie. After 15+ years in the construction industry — including as Manager of Operations at Wisteria Steel Constructions — Tim knew the steel fabrication and installation market well enough to do it better. So he did.
Starting in Melbourne's south-east, Vicsteel has grown to four fabrication premises, a permanent install crew, and a portfolio ranging from 11-tonne church steelwork in St Kilda East to 180-tonne university buildings in Bundoora.
Tim is on every project. The detailing is done in-house. The install crew are Vicsteel employees, not labour hire. When something changes on site, the person who calls you back knows the job.
